Of all of the books, videos, DVDs and other instructional methods out there for golf, “The Simple Golf Swing System,” is one that lives up to its name. The system, developed by David Nevgot, is detailed in his 30-page book of the same title.

The book takes readers through simple, yet detailed step by step instructions on how, simply, to become a greater golfer.

The book is dedicated to helping even those who are not in top physical form lower their handicap and learn how to swing the club effectively. The idea of the book is not to try and create professional golfers out of average golfers. Nevgot plainly states his opinion that that is just not possible in most every case. Most average people are not in the same shape as professional golfers, and even they were, do not have the thousands of hours that professional golfers invested in perfecting their skills.

But he does also believe that most anyone can benefit from focused instruction on how to improve their swing.

And this book performs that task admirably. For starters, this is not a heart-achingly detailed description of golf swing technique. There are five steps (yes, just five) in the method laid out in this book. Which means that those who read the book will actually stand a chance of remembering what they read once they get to the course.

And it will mean they will be able to absorb and understand the critical principles which underlie the system. The driving principle behind the book is to simplify all the steps along the process of executing a good golf swing. It is that drive for simplicity that differentiates this book. It does not spend long tedious pages reflecting on its own glorious recounting of technical information and data.

And along the lines of simplicity, the photographs used in the book are well shot and placed within the book, meaning they actually contribute to their associated points in the book, rather than causing even greater confusion on the part of the reader, which often enough occurs in these books.

It gets to the point, makes its case, and sends you off to the golf course where you can have fun with your improved game.

This book is not just for beginners, though beginner will clearly be able to benefit from it. The book is designed to also help those who have been at it awhile and simply want to lower their handicap.

The information in this book has helped people lower their handicaps by as much as 30%, and it’s easy to see why. The information is succinctly delivered, illustrated artfully with photographs and the book itself is well written and easy to follow.

In a game that is so completely wrapped in its own blanket of complexities, it is refreshing to read one that can be digested and put to good use in the course of a single afternoon, but also kept around as a reference manual for refreshers down the road.

In that respect the guide is not just simple; it’s practically invaluable for golfers who want to improve their games over time.
